Damn, I didn't even remember falling asleep last night, I must have been 
exhausted, and to think I was worried I wouldn't get a wink of shut eye.

But hold on! Who is this guy laying next to me! And why in the hell are we both 
naked!

Just kidding! :)

I had a swarm of butterflies in my stomach the minute I woke up and my cell 
phone chirped, I flipped it open and sat straight up in bed when I read the 
message; "Leaving now, see you soon love! XOXOXOXO!"

to get out of the house!' was my first thought.

9:35 am the clock said, a little late for me, but at least I got a good nights

go with me?"

"Yeah, let me change." And she took off down the stairs.

I was a little concerned that I would miss Nikki arriving at the house by

"How do you do it?" Kelly asked, "How do you stay so focused on exercise and

I shrugged and thought for a second, I've been asked this hundreds of times but 
I still find that my answer can change depending on my mood. "It feels good, so 
it's not really work to me. I think that is the killer for most people, they 
approach exercise with this hostile, defeatist attitude before they even get 
started. All they think about is how much it's going to hurt, or wear them out, 
or how much time it will take away from they're schedule. Just do what feels 
good and right, don't try and force yourself to do something your not 
interested in when there are hundreds of exercise options out there." I think I 
summed things up pretty well, I gave her my more philosophical approach to 
exercise and not the standard lecture of leading a healthy life style.

"But you look great Kelly, not an once of cellulite anywhere, for someone who 
doesn't workout you have a great body." I looked over and smiled thru my 
sunglasses and big dorky hat that covered my head.

"Thanks." She smiles, "Hey, your not hitting on me are you!" She suddenly froze 
and looked at me.

"What?" and I stopped walking a little confused and shocked.

"I'm JOKING!" She laughs and pushes me on my shoulder.

"Ass, you had me going there, and no I'm not hitting on you." I smile.

"Why the hell not, am I not hot enough!" Kelly continued with her teasing but

you carry allot of tension around in your muscles."

blanket.

Okay, let's see what good running tunes I have to choose from...cool, I have a 
smattering of Rammstein, Bush, STP, INXS, 'I'm ready to go!'.

I smile and give a small wave as I walk toward where the waves are just barely 
touching my feet and start with a slight jog proceeding to head south first. I 
was maybe ten minutes into my run when I was really feeling the heat, and my 
body was drenched in sweat. I really enjoyed this run, it was a blast, I had to 
dodge kids, families, guys, girls but that was part of the fun. I estimate I 
must have run about three miles and I was really dripping with sweat now, I 
slowed my pace and tried to take some of the scenery in, every step of the way 
guys would turn to stare, I didn't mind and kind of reveled in the attention I 
was getting. 'This has to be the best run I've had in a long time!' I was 
thinking, what's not to love? Here I am running along the beach, some nice tunes

point and try to flag me down, which was kind of annoying and to think I would 
have to pass them on the way back, oh well. I glanced over as I passed them, 
some waved, while some even had the audacity to pull their cameras out to take

I had slowed to a walk and took deep breaths, wondering out into the water a 
little bit to feel the cool water until it was up to my calves, if I didn't have 
my iPod on me I would have dove into an oncoming wave to really cool off. I 
couldn't believe how drenched with seat I was, holy cow, I really should have 
brought a water bottle with me.

I turned to pace toward the water as I tried to take long deep breaths, as I 
pace I notice a couple of guys approaching me, actually older men, looking to be 
in the their late thirties. Okay late thirties is not THAT old but I'm 22 so 
that seems a bit far off to me.

Now, these guys are not bad looking at all and in great shape, but I really 
don't have the patience or inclination for chit chat, so I act like I don't see

taking any chances and I take off jogging back in the direction from which I

I slowly pick up the pace and start to jog back to where Kelly is, I have a big 
smile on my face now, I guess I do like the attention I sometimes. I have to 
consciously suppress my smile so I don't look like some grinning idiot 
running down the beach. Wow, this run is really giving me a great high! Not even 
that group of obnoxious guys that I pass on my return bother me, except 
I grit my teeth when I see some guy with a video camera pointed at me (What the 
hell is wrong with you guys!). Three of them even hustle down close to the waves 
where I am tracking so try and intercept me, but I quickly dodge around them and 
keep on moving. I don't' time for this crap! How rude!

Slowly I can make out a few landmarks indicating I back to where Kelly should be 
and I slow down my pace to walk the rest of the way so I am not huffing and 
puffing. I see Kelly leaving the water and heading back to the blanket, she's an 
attractive girl, but it goes to reinforce my point, that while I recognize Kelly 
to be a very attractive girl, there is no attraction there, NONE! Same for all
