The paladins - part 1 by parthianstories@yahoo.com Daniela and Helena had been orphaned in early childhood, of which they had no memories. Their memories had always consisted of being shuttled from one foster home to another. They ended up in the same high school in Eugene, Oregon. Given they had common ground, they soon became best of friends. After high school graduation, when they were 18, they saw an advertisement in the local paper about an experimental new drug that would increase the 'curves' of young women. The advertisement mentioned that participants would get paid 1000 dollars for their time. The thought of making a thousand bucks and becoming curvier seemed too good to pass up. So one day, they went to the address provided, and met with a member of the company that made the drug. After a quick physical examination, the girls were approved for the study. All they had to do was to provide the required signatures. No one else other than the two girls volunteered for the study. When at first, the heads of this shady corporation, two young and unscrupulous 26 year-olds by the names of Joseph Harvey and Jack Madison were informed that there were only two subjects for their study, they weren't sure what to do. After a day's thought it was decided that they should go ahead with the study, as their reasoning was that 'what is the worst that can possibly happen? ' as they were dealing with two 18 year olds who had been orphaned. Just to be on the safe side, they had the girls sign a 'release' form, stating that the company was not to be held liable if anything unforeseen happened. After a month's wait, the girls got a year's supply of the drug in the mail. It was in the form of a cherry-flavored red liquid, of which they had to drink two tablespoons, three times a day.
